Active Membership
Those eligible for active membership are:
Chief of Police of any city in the State of Oklahoma, Assistant or Deputy Police Chief of such city, or those who, by any title, are designated by the Chief of Police to carry on the duties of Chief of Police during the absence of such Chief from his/hers city in Oklahoma;
Administrator of any County, State or Federal Law Enforcement Agency or Body located within the State of Oklahoma charged with the enforcement of violations of local, state, or federal laws, and those who, by any title, are designated by the chief administrator to carry on the duties of the chief administrator during their absence, Chief of any Indian law enforcement agency;
Chief or Head of any Rail, Air or Public Transportation agency located in the State of Oklahoma anf that enforces local, state or federal laws, or those who, by any title, are designated by the chief administrator to carry on the duties of the chief administrators during their absence;
Chiefs of Police of educational institutes within the state, recognized as certified officers under the provisions set forth by Oklahoma Statutes annotated, or those who, by any title, are designated by the chief administrator to carry on the duties of the chief administrators during their absence;
The Provost Marshal and/or Chief of Police of Military organizations within the State;
Those members having held Active Membership in the Association shall, upon retirement from active law enforcement, be eligible to retain membership in the Association as an Active Membership.
