                The membership of the Association shall be classified as follows:
                                              Active, Associate, and Corporate


          ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP

  
Those eligible for active membership are: Chief of Police of any city in the State of Oklahoma, Assistant or Deputy Chief of such city, or those who by any title are designated by the Chief of Police to carry on the duties of a Chief of Police during the absence of such Chief from his city;

   Administrator of any County, State, or Federal Law Enforcement Agency or  Body located within the State of Oklahoma charged with the enforcement of violations of local, state or federals laws, and those who by any title are designated by the Chief Administrator  to carry on the duties of the chief administrator during their absence;

   Chief of any Indian Law Enforcement Agency, Chief or Head of any Rail, Air or Public Transportation agency that enforces local, state or federal laws or those by any title designated by the chief administrator to carry on the duties of the chief administrator during the Chief’s absence, and is located in the State of Oklahoma;

   Chiefs of Police of educational institutes within the State, recognized as certified officers under the provisions set forth by Oklahoma Statutes annotated, or those who by any title are designated by the chief administrator during the chiefs absence;

   The Provost Marshal and/pr Chief of Police of Military police organizations, or Commanders of such Military organizations within the State. 

   Membership applications must be approved by the Executive Board. Members having held active membership in the Association shall, upon retirement from active law enforcement, be eligible to retain membership in the Association as an Active Member.


          ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP


  Any person not eligible for active membership but qualified by training and experience in police or other law enforcement activity, or by professional attainments in police science or administration shall be eligible for associate membership in the Association. New applications for membership must be endorsed by an active member in good standing. Membership applications must be approved by the Executive Board.


        ACTIVE AND ASSOCIATE MEMBER DUES:
The annual dues of both active and associate members shall be sixty dollars ($75.00) for the calendar year.
